Obituary for Marianne Jean Zalesky
Marianne Jean Zalesky 86 passed away on July 13th 2022.
She was born to the late Col. Richard Cox Zalesky and Ophellia Marie Gregoire Zalesky on Oct 1, 1935.
Marianne graduated from Kubasauki High in Okinawa and from the University of Northern Colorado Greeley. Marianne obtained her LPN from Emily Griffith in Denver.
Marianne was an LPN for almost 30 years. She worked at Saint Anthony's, or to her it was Holy Tony's moving and storage. Denver General and Aurora Presbyterian Hosp.
In her younger days, and before Ports of Call was no longer, she enjoyed traveling. She had visited Spain, Germany, Italy, Mexico and Czechoslovakia, however her favorite port of call was Disney World.
Marianne loved her parents, dog, and two cats, but she adored Star Trek. Marianne was in fact a collector of Star Trek memorabilia. She has amassed a huge collection of figurines, models, books and Christmas ornaments. When she was not watching the reruns of Star Trek she was doing Bunka. Bunka is a Japanese from of needle point.
Marianne is survived by her nephew, Michael D. Zalesky of Aurora, three great nieces Jamie L Zalesky, Michaela Agnes Gaze, and Kellie Letofsky, Anne (Amy) Kilroy of Conifer, and Christine C. Logsdon of Colorado Springs.
Services will be held on the 22 of July 2022 at the Newcomers Funeral Home located at 190 Potomac St. Aurora from 5-7pm.
