Marilyn M. Kuhn, 88, of Lakewood, passed away February 16, 2018.
She was born May 26, 1929 in La Junta, Colorado, the daughter of George and Adelaide (Bickel) Hine.
She was a graduate of La Junta High School. Marilyn graduated from University of Colorado School of Nursing in 1951.
Marilyn and Paul Kuhn eloped on June 2, 1950 after a one week courtship. They shared so much love they married again on September 10, 1950. Together, they had four children: Michael, Nancy, Lori and Mindy. Marilyn and Paul were inseparable. They enjoyed ballroom dancing and won many of prizes for their dances. They also enjoyed woodworking together.
Her volunteer work at the Clemets Blood Pressure Clinic was very important to Marilyn. Marilyn enjoyed people watching in her spare time. She loved the Denver Broncos. She enjoyed reading and also cooking with her grandchildren. Marilyn loved watching The Young and The Restless until she passed. Her favorite foods were Colorado Green Chile, margaritas and ice cream. She loved shopping. Marilyn will be remembered as a Good Neighbor. She also enjoyed spending time with her cat, Leo. She enjoyed walks outdoors and sitting on the porch.
Marilyn is survived by three children, Michael Paul (Susan) Kuhn, Nancy Adele (Ty) Lagerberg and Mindy Major; eight grandchildren, Kara Schreiber, Erin (Justin) Renz, Todd (Megan) Lagerberg, Amy (Noah) Bongard, Landon (Erica) Kuhn, Janssen Kuhn, Jodie Major and Marc Major; fourteen great-grandchildren, Abigail Schreiber, Natalie Schreiber, Ty Schreiber, Claire Schreiber, Kaden Renz, Eli Renz, Sofia Lagerberg, Nora Lagerberg, Savannah Bongard, Jaxon Bongard, Cooper Bongard, Grayson Bongard, Samuel Kuhn and Juniper Kuhn with one great-grandchild on the way and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by loving husband of 64 years, Paul LeRoy Kuhn; daughter, Lori Elizabeth Hill; father, George Edgar Hine; mother, Adelaide Nellie Hine; brother, Eugene Hine, and sister, Dorothy Grenard.
