Marjorie A Gibson, 96, of Aurora CO, transitioned on Monday December 12, 2022
Marjorie was born in 1926 to the late Anna Hood and George A Hood Sr, in San Bernardino CA and moved to Denver in 1931. Marjorie graduated from East High School, Denver CO, in 1944. She married Arthur Gibson in 1953 and was blessed with 3 children.
Marjorie's most loved and last job before retiring, was an admission clerk at St Luke's Hospital in Denver CO. Her caring and compassionate personality made this a perfect fit and she was loved by many. After retiring she worked at Walmart which she truly loved.
If you knew her, you know she loved animals and always had a dog. Her true love always had four legs.
Marjorie's later years were spent at Little Sisters of the Poor (Mullen Home for the Aged). We are so thankful and blessed to have had that care for 8 years. There we gained lifelong caregivers/friends who shaped our lives. Marjorie's humor was a beacon of light for all who knew her.
Marjorie is survived by her three children: Anna McCaffery of Denver CO, Barry Gibson (Kim) of Aurora CO and Doreen Rathburn (Danny) of Aurora CO. She is also survived by her sister Mary Louise Tapella of Georgetown TX, brother George A Hood Jr of Sacramento CA, four grandchildren: Amy Rich, Ryan Gibson(Penny), Jessie Raschen(Ryan), Aubreeanna Gibson(Scotty)and five great grandchildren: Jonah Rich, Lily and Madelynn Gibson, Rory Raschen and Hendrix De La Garza
