Mark Alan Campbell

October 16, 1960 — January 10, 2020

Mark Allen Campbell, 59, of Denver, went to be with our Lord on Friday night. He was born to Garry and the late Marie Campbell, October 16, 1960, in Barberton, OH.

As a boy he loved to fish, hunt and trap. He was an Eagle Scout in high school and went to Marine OCS in college. Mark graduated from Barberton High School and attended Ohio State University before moving to Colorado.

He married Carla Baker in 1984 and had Tiffany, Heidi and Branden. In 2001, Mark met Eun Mi Chun and married in 2002.

Mark was a firefighter for West Metro, a Denver Police Reservist and a Fire Protection Engineer. He had many hobbies, he loved wood working, search and rescue, trapping and welding.

His passions were teaching Fire Prevention, training his dog Bandit for arson investigation. Mark was one of the leading experts in reduced-scale models for research in fire dynamics and smoke control. With his expertise he taught in these fields for over 25 years.

Mark is survived by his wife, Eun Mi, his three children and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother Marie and older brother Michael.

In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Charities of First Responders.
