Marvin Richard Gutwein

Marvin Richard Gutwein, Lakewood, CO, went to Heaven to be with Jesus on Saturday April 22, 2023 at age 80. He was born on May 16th, 1942 in Francesville, IN. Marv served in the Army from 1961 to 1963, and soon after that he started dating Paulette. Marv graduated Metropolitan State College in Denver and received a BA in Business. Marvin got married to Paulette Rose Heckel on April 15, 1967 in Englewood, CO. They lived in Sheridan, CO for two years, then lived in Denver 10 more years before moving to Lakewood and have lived there ever since. Marv also served in the Navy Reserve for 10 years.

Marv and Paulette have two children, his son Darryl Thomas Gutwein and his daughter Rhonda Cher Gutwein Magee who married Ryan Scott Magee who became his son in law, but more than that, another son. Also his beloved dog, Ellie Rey whom he cherished.

Marv retired early at age 51 from the Federal Center of Denver as a computer program analyst. After which, he had spent much of his time volunteering at Bear Valley Church along with helping others, which he loved to do. Marv also loved to travel around the world with his family and friends. Marv will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Servants Of Christ International 852 S. Carriage Dr. Miliken, CO 80543-3099.

Marvin's Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bear Valley Church at 10001 W Jewel Ave, Lakewood, CO, 80232 on Friday May 12, 2023 at 10:30am.
