Marvin V. Schroeder passed away and joined his wife Lillian in glory on 19 December 2005. Marvin was a husband, father, grand-father, and great grand-father and the source of his family's strength. He was born August 16, 1926 in Freeman, South Dakota. Marv served in the United States Army Air Force and was honorably discharged in January 1947. Until his retirement in 1990, Marvin worked in sales and sales management for the American Automobile Associate (AAA) for over 40 years. He spent his retirement in Rapid City, SD and Arcadia, Fla with his loving wife Lillian of 58 years who preceded him in death in March 2005. His parents William and Kate Schroeder, and sister Rosella also preceded him in death. Survivors include his son, Gregory and wife, Kathie of Miami, Fla; his daughter, Julie and husband, Chet, of LaVista, Neb; his grand-daughter Sarah, and the angel of the family, his great grand-daughter, Faith Elizabeth, both of Westminster, CO. Marvin's brother Wilbert and sister Ethel also survive along with cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd. Internment along with full military honors will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery immediately following at staging area "C".
