Mary Kay "Katie" Alarid

Mary Kay "Katie" (Tourville) Pixler Alarid passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 10:55 pm in Denver, CO. Mary was born with heart problems all her life. She was a fighter and beat the odds several times to live and make a life for herself.

She was born on December 22, 1960 in Denver, Colorado. She lived her whole live in Denver. She went to District 50 schools and graduated from Ranum High School.

Mary Kay worked at North Suburban Hospital in the Dietary department. She enjoyed her job. She worked there until due to health she had to retire.

Mary had many friends in the Denver Metro area. She enjoyed being around people and helping them. She loved her pets and had two dogs and one cat.

She married Fred in January of 2008, and they had a good life.

Mary is survived by her husband, Fred Alarid; her son, Randy Pixler; her mother Emma Tourville; her sister, Eva Reckeonwald (Bruce Russell); Brother Rick Tourville; nephew, Austin Tourville and several other relatives. She loved all her family and was very close to them.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, John L. Tourville; a baby daughter, Leighanne E.R. Pixler and niece, Amanda Tourville.
