October 11, 1944 – August 9, 2019
On August 9th, Mary Ellen (Scott) White passed away from complications related to diabetes. She was married to her husband, Edward "Ted" H. White, Jr., for 52 years. They met in Utah at Hill Air Force Base, and lived in Delaware, Colorado, Italy, Massachusetts (courtesy of the U.S. Air Force), and finally back in Colorado to enjoy their retirement together.
Mary Ellen also worked for the U.S. Government in many different capacities with the Air Force and the U.S. Army (Fitzsimmons AMC). Mary Ellen is survived by her husband Ted; children John P. White and Bryan E. White; sisters Dorothy Harvey and Sandra Harper and many nieces and nephews around the country.
Mary Ellen enjoyed volunteer work in the community and the public schools, and she especially loved her cats! She was a lifelong servant of others, and as such, touched many lives in beautiful ways.
A celebration of life for Mary Ellen will take place on August 31st, 2pm, with reception to follow, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 190 Potomac St., Aurora, CO 80011. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary Ellen's name may be made to Food Bank of the Rockies.
