It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Michele Kane announces her passing, which occurred on August 26, 2022.
Mary was born in Manhattan, New York, on July 12, 1945. She graduated from Queens College in New York with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught elementary school in Floral Park, New York, for five years.
Mary was married to Paul D. Kane for 32 years. They moved from New York to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for Paul's business and Mary substitute taught there. Mary and Paul moved to Aurora, Colorado, in the mid 1980's. Mary enjoyed visiting the library, lunches with friends and volunteering at various food banks in the Aurora area. Mary suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and passed peacefully.
Mary is survived by her sister Carol Vischer-Leche, nephew Brendan Finnegan and his wife Amy, niece Kimberly Deliz, great nephews Troy and Trent Finnegan, great nephew Michael Deliz and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and parents Stephen and Mary Marcinko.
A memorial service will take place at a later date to be announced.
