Mary Niemi, of Aurora, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2021 at the age of 96.
She was the first of three children born to Frederick and Lillian (nee Clark) Lippert on June 19, 1925 in St Louis, Mo. In her youth she loved to travel with her girlfriends to places like Miami, Chicago and Aspen. She married Robert E. Niemi on June 4, 1955, with whom he had two children, David and Robert.
Mary had a wry sense of humor and kept current, in both her fashion and outlook. She was devoted in her faith, read the bible every day, attended mass, and started a prayer group with her friends that lasted for 30+ years.
Mary lived a long, happy life filled with humor, family, faith, and friends. She was dearly loved and will be missed. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, son David, husband Robert and two brothers Fred and James. She is survived by her son Robert.
