On August 22, 2020, Our Lord and Heavenly Father called to Mary Celia Romero. Mary was also known as Sally. She was born in Delagua, Colorado on July 31, 1934 and had just turned 86 years old. She was the longest living of her five siblings. She resided in Trinidad, Denver and lastly Lakewood, Colorado for the remainder of her life. She was a very strong, honest, caring, protective, courageous, beautiful, lovable and kind human being. She touched the hearts of many people's lives. Although her physical presence is no longer with us, she remains in our hearts forever through the Everlasting Love and Glory of Jesus Christ and the Almighty Heavenly Father.
Sally was quite the socialite. She loved talking to all people, speaking in Spanish, making friends, sharing life stories, laughing, crying, caring and helping individuals in any way she possibly could. Her heart was honest and genuine. Her family life was very important to her. She was very dedicated and protective. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with much joy. When she loved, she loved deeply and with all of her heart and soul.
Let it be known that Sally was also known as "Spider Woman" because of her love and talent for crocheting. Throughout her life, she was very creative and spun many beautiful webs by way of crocheting. She invested many years with this craft and created many beautiful pieces of art. She was so gifted that she could crochet "On Demand".
Other activities Sally enjoyed were listening to music, dancing and watching T.V. She enjoyed doing the jitterbug and loved latin dancing. Her favorite programs she enjoyed watching were "scary movies" and "latin soap operas".
Later in life, Sally acquired a long haired Chihuahua named Zeus. Zeus became her companion and brought her quite a bit of joy and happiness. The bond between Sally and Zeus will always be very special.
Sally's spirit and legacy will live on. She will be remembered, missed and loved dearly by her family and friends. We know, without a doubt, Our Lord and Savior has a special place for her. He has received her in his beloved arms in his Kingdom. Faithfully knowing this brings comfort and relief to us all. Praise be to God! Amen!
