Mary Ann Clarkson Shmaefsky

September 27, 1958 — October 13, 2023

It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to a wonderful woman, Mary Shmaefsky.
She was born and raised in New York, the daughter of Lydia and Paul Clarkson. Her passion for hairdressing and driving followed her as she moved across country with her husband (Allen Shmaefsky) father of her 3 Children Amy, Kevin and Peter. Living the rest of her life in Colorado she had no trouble Making many lifelong Friends and eventually settled down with her life partner Jerry Opdahl.
It can be challenging to equate ones legacy and what impact they have on the world, but what Mary left behind was the memory of her best qualities. These qualities she planted into her children and grand children to learn from and grow. Her daughter, Amy Shmaefsky attained her strong will and stubborn-like confidence. Her son Kevin Shmaefsky, was blessed with her contagious happiness, and love For helping people. Lastly, her son Peter Shmaefsky, she imparted her kindness and Patience. The best of her and her children will continue to be passed on to her grand children Kayden, Alicia, JR., Grayson and Olivia.
We did lose the wonderful Mom, Partner and Friend Mary Shmaefsky, but we will forever have her will, happiness and kindness to share with the world.
