Mary Tafoya

Mary Lovato Tafoya was born September 15, 1933, in Colorado Springs, to Sarah (Gonzales) and Felix Lovato.
Mary was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Friday, March 25, 2022.
She is survived by her two sisters, Irene Mondragon and Sara Vargas; her seven children, Brenda Edde, Cherry Tafoya, Fred Tafoya, Michael Tafoya, Kenny Tafoya, Charles Tafoya (Ruby), and Valerie Tafoya-Morine. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Tafoya; son in-laws Don Edde and Damion Morine; grandson Toby James Morine; and her siblings, Lawrence Lovato, Felix Lovato and Della Martinez.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel, 901 South Sheridan Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado, 80226.
A Rosary and Mass will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at All Saints Catholic Church, located at 2559 South Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80219. A Reception to celebrate Mary's life will follow the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mary Tafoya Memorial Fund through Security Service Federal Credit Union.
