Masa Nishimura, 96, of Aurora, passed away May 21, 2019.
She was born June 7, 1922 in Iliff, Colorado, the daughter of Shingo and Kichi (Nakamura) Nakamura. Masa was a graduate of Iliff High School. She went on to graduate from Colorado State University. On March 19, 1949 she married John Nishimura, in Sterling, Colorado.
Masa was a Life Master Bridge Teacher and was a member of numerous Bridge clubs. She was also a terrific seamstress and cook.
Masa is survived by her son, Terry Nishimura; three sisters, Beverly Kurihara, Barbara Harr, and Susie Davis; two grandchildren, Christopher Sterker and Jennifer (Fred) Robinson; five great-grandchildren, Javon, Royal, Wynn, Brayden, and Brooklyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kichi and Shingo Nakamura; husband, John Nishimura; daughter, Kerry Echo; two sisters, Amy Kurihara and Thelma Bell; and brother, Mike Nakamura.
