Matilda J."Tillie" Beavers

Matilda Jean Beavers (Tillie) age 85, passed away in her home with her daughter Sharon by her side on December 31, 2021. As Fate would have it exactly 25 years to the day of her mother's Bonnie Cathey, passing. Tillie was born in Atlanta, Georgia, grew up in Michigan where she met and married our father Robert Beavers.

They moved to Aurora, Colorado in 1966 to start their family of 4 children. Tillie was a full-time homemaker. At one point becoming an Avon representative, allowing her to earn some spending money. She decided she wanted a different career path getting a job at King Soopers and advanced to become Deli Manager.

Tillie loved to bowl. And was always on a mission to get the best garage sale deal with her dearest friend Pearl Graham. She made several wonderful trips with her sister Betty to Ireland and Sweden. Also took cruises with her daughter, daughter-in-law Karen, son Tom and son-in-law Rick Carter. Tillie loved to volunteer.

Tillie is survived by her children David, Tom, Steven and Sharon; grandchildren Jessica Sanchez, Ryan Beavers, Michael Beavers, Danielle Lewis, and Vincent Cioe; great grandchildren Emily and Caleb Beavers, Cynthia Martir, Christian Martir, Skyla Martir, Olivia Lewis, Tyler Lewis, Emma Lewis, and soon to be named baby boy. She is also survived by her sisters Betty Grady, Wini Manoian and brother Tom Cathey.
She is preceded in death by our father Robert Beavers, her parents George and Bonnie Cathey and her brother Bill Cathey.
