McKenzie, beloved mother to 2 beautiful daughters, ages 6 years and 7 months, of Denver, Colorado, passed away at home on June 1, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Denver, Colorado in1986 to Kevin Gomez and Yvonne Stepp-Gomez, and lived a wonderful childhood, which included living a short time in Germany. McKenzie attended and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School where she was in the National Honors Society among other amazing achievements throughout her life. McKenzie worked in various account management positions before going to her last position working with Caterpillar and their distributors and resigning from that position after having her first child, Noelle Honor Turner and moving out of state to try and pursue other career opportunities.
McKenzie was a devoted mother to Noelle and Soleil, and they were her pride and joy! She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided. McKenzie took special joy in being a mom, and always shared pictures and special moments on social media every chance she had.
McKenzie was preceded in death by Kevin Gomez her father, Yvonne Johnson Gomez her grandmother and Art Gomez and her aunt Karla Gomez. Also, Geraldine Stepp her grandmother and William “Bill” Stepp grandfather, Loni Stepp her aunt and is survived by her mother Yvonne Stepp-Gomez, 2 daughters Noelle Turner and Soleil Taylor and a host of family and friends who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
