Melvin Gude

Melvin Gude, 81, of Denver. Beloved husband of Shirley, father of Byron, Cheryl (Ken), and Laurie, uncle of Eleanor Snyder. Mel was born in Denver on March 8, 1924 and passed away on September 6, 2005. He married Shirley J. Otto in 1945. He served in the Navy during WW II and the Korean war. He was a sales tax auditor for the city and county of Denver. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Optimist Club, Oriental Blue Lodge #87, Scooter Patrol of El Jebel Shrine, Englewood Elks, VFW and American Legion. Visitation Saturday, 4-8 PM; funeral service Monday, 1:30 PM, both at Newcomer Family West Metro Chapel (service concludes in the chapel). Inurnment, Friday (9/16) Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging area "B", 2 PM.
