On August 29, 2018 Melvin Guyton completed his work here on earth and went on to his journey to Heaven.
Melvin was born in March 25, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to George and Olivia (Kimble) Guyton. He graduated from Westville High School in Birmingham and later continued his education at Denver Community College.
On August 31, 1960 Melvin married the love of his life, Ruby Francine Hall in Birmingham, Alabama. They celebrate 58 years of love, life and laughter! The beauty of Melvin's love will continue to live on. Melvin and Ruby are blessed to have 4 generations to carry on his legacy. His children, Gloria Guyton-Edwards, Rory Guyton, Olivia Cassim, Madeline (Artez) Hendricks, Georgia (Dino) Martinez, Sharida Guyton, Melody Linzy (Marty) Guyton-Dorsey, Patsy Braggs, Patricia Guyton, Noah Guyton and Omar. Along with his siblings, Aprilene Hardy, Brenda Chapman and Cathy Guyton. Melvin's love flowed through generations and will continue through each one of them in conjunction with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. They also will continue his legacy with pride and honor showing that same Godly love to the world that he taught and showed them every day.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Guyton; mother, Olivia Guyton; brothers, Travis Guyton and George Guyton, Jr.; and sister, Teresa Morales.
The family invites you to celebrate his life with them, Saturday, September 8, 2018. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Heritage Christian Center, 14401 E. Exposition Ave., Aurora, CO. The funeral will be immediately following.
