Michael Joseph DiUbaldo, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 68. Born to John and Elizabeth DiUbaldo at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital on July 11, 1956, Michael was a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Ellen DiUbaldo, and is survived by his three daughters, Eva, Rebecca, and Brigid; four brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.
Michael had a quick wit that was a unique mix of humor and sarcasm and was rarely at a loss for words. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and had an exceptional talent for fixing almost anything, especially for electronics and auto mechanics.
After graduating from Aurora Central High School, Michael served four years in the Army as a Radar Specialist. While serving in the Army Michael began an academic career through the University of Mayland and eventually enrolled at Metro State University pursuing a degree in electronics. Following his discharge from the Army, Michael went to work for Texas Instruments and was sent to the aircraft carrier USS America, where he was responsible for maintaining the electronics of the ship’s HARM missile systems.
Upon returning to Colorado, Michael began bar tending at night, which is something he thoroughly enjoyed and would continue doing off and on for many years. To pay the bills he went to work for ISSPRO, a service and repair shop for equipment instruments. It was during this time he got the idea to start his own business, Rocky Mountain Radio, where he installed and repaired car radio systems. After closing his business, he went to work for the City and County of Denver in the Denver Police Department’s Electronic Engineering Bureau where he serviced and installed police radios and electronic devices for many years before his retirement.
Michael shared a special bond with his twin brother, Patrick and it was unusual to see one without the other. Their connection was undeniable.
Michael will be deeply missed. He was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
