He was born February 3, 1948 in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of Luther and Josephine (Smith) Floyd. He was a graduate of West High School.
Michael is survived by his wife, Mary Tholen; and nephew, Dwayne Dunmire. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Josephine Floyd.
