Michael Campbell Johnson, was born August 1,1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to proud parents of Ralph Johnson, Sr., and Mable Johnson. Michael was the oldest of their seven children, his brothers Wayne Johnson and Ralph Johnson, Jr., his sisters Denise Reaves (Derrick Reaves), Monica Gaynia (Collin Gaynia), Pamela Emeribe and Lisa Ellison. Michael was lovingly referred to as Mike, JJ, Billy D, and even Michael dramatical.
Michael made his final transition from this earthly life into eternal rest on Sunday, November 13, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father Ralph Johnson, Sr., and his mother Mable Johnson. He leaves precious memories to his children Genelle Grant, Jennifer Terry (Landrey Terry), Micheylle Lowe Beene (Kenneth Beene), 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of family and friends.
Michael was a member of Burnside Community Baptist Church in Chicago and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Michael joined the United States Army at the young age of 17 and served 4 years. He served in the transportation department of the military where he drove various types and sizes of vehicles and escorted military personnel. He served several years in Korea and was honorably discharged after years served.
Michael would travel to Denver frequently and eventually made his home there. He loved the mountains and skiing. He formed the only black owned and operated limousine company in Denver at that time called Lifestyle Limousine where he drove various artists and entertainers such as: Les Mccan, Bobby Humphrey, Two Live Crew, Bel, Biv, Devoe, BB King and Janet Jackson to name a few.
We are beyond blessed and privileged to have had him as a brother, dad, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
