On Friday, May 27th, 2022, Michael David Martinez, loving father of two daughters, passed away at the age of 64.
Michael was born on March 31,1958 in Colorado Springs, Colo. to Wanda and Ernest Martinez.
Michael graduated from Douglas County High School, Castle Rock, Colo. in 1975. He married Barbara Ybarra and they raised two daughters, Maxinne and Rachel.
Mike loved the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado and spent many happy hours fishing, hunting, camping, dirt biking and four-wheeling in them. Some of his memorable hobbies in years past were photography (especially of locomotives), and the model train collection he once had. He had many different jobs over the years, among them sporting goods sales, copy machine maintenance after an IT degree, and doing deliveries for FED EX and Uber.
He is survived by his mother Wanda Martinez, his sister Cindy, and his daughters Maxinne and Rachel and their husbands Joe and Keith, plus many cousins, a nephew, a grandson and many friends.
His wish was to be cremated and his ashes will be scattered somewhere in the mountains he loved.
