Michael P. Plante

In loving memory of Michael Phillip Plante who passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Marguerite Plante; brother George Plante. 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and son, Michael. Also survived by his brothers Peter (Martha) Plante and Paul (Patricia) Plante. Also survived by brother-in-law Robert (Deborah) Cozzy and sister-in-law Susan Dolan plus many, many nephews and nieces. 

Michael graduated from Averill Park High School in 1968 and attended RIT in Rochester, New York. After over 40 years of working for the I.R.S., Michael retired in December, 2011. In retirement, he enjoyed being a Master Gardener and long bike riding trips with close friends over many cities and states. He loved skiing and living in the mountains, working as a ski instructor for close to 50 years, mostly at the Winter Park Ski Resort, where he made many lasting friendships in his retirement years. He will be remembered as an example for generosity towards other skiers and coaches. 

There will be a memorial gathering at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Boulevard, Lakewood, on Tuesday, August 6th, from 2 - 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made in memory of Michael Plante to Friends of Charlie's Place. https://www.friendsofcharliesplace.org/
