Michael Ralph Prahl, aged 61, passed away suddenly on February 15, 2019 in Denver Colorado. Mike leaves behind his loving wife Candice, four children Lucas (Diana) Prahl, Matthew (Michelle) Prahl, Jessica (Benjamin) Zandt, and Amber Mayer. Proud and loving Grandfather to 11 grandchildren. Mike was a member of a large family consisting six siblings, Pat (Bob) Van Zandt, Barb (Rick) Titler, Katie (Phil) Barncard, Nancy (Gary) Potts, and Christopher Prahl. Along with five step-siblings Kerry (Marri) Larsen, Sharon Dederich, Bill (Lynn) Larsen, Bob Larsen, Carole (Scott) Hall. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that are family all of which were deeply loved.
Growing up, Mike spent his summers on the family farm in Wisconsin, assisting family and friends with various "chores". He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and lettered in cross-country in High School. He had many hobbies and interests such as photography, golfing, was an avid hockey player and Detroit Redwings fan. He loved to travel for work and pleasure. No one loved a road-trip more than Mike Prahl. He loved to spend time with his grandson bonding over trains and spoiling his granddaughters. He was a youth hockey coach, and a volunteer firefighter in the communities he lived. Mike was a Senior Mechanical Designer in the Petrochemical industry, a career he loved and that allowed him to live in various locations around the world. Mike was born in Jackson, MI on September 3, 1957, he attended Jackson Public Schools and Jackson College.
He was preceded in death by his honored parents Edward and Nancy Prahl, brother Timothy Prahl, step-mother Joyce Prahl, step-siblings James Larsen, Donna Larsen, and Linda Elton.
Mike will be dearly missed by all.
