Michael Robert Kohel, 62, of Aurora, passed away May 3, 2021.
He was born April 30, 1959 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the son of Robert and Mary Kohel.
He attended Marshfield schools. While in school, Michael played football, the violin, choir and was in boy scouts.
Michael was an Oil Field Worker and worked in several states including Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah.
He was a parishioner at Queen of Peace Catholic Church where he was active in the Knights of Columbus, Couples for Christ and Bayanihan.
Michael enjoyed fishing and being in nature. He was an avid reader and loved watching TV, especially Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos football. He was a dog lover and adored his dog, Charlie.
On October 1, 2008 he married Evangeline Urbanelli.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Evangeline Kohel; sisters, Elaine Bookhart, Rhonda Helmke, and Lisa Hansen; brother, Kirk Kohel; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by father Robert Kohel; mother, Mary Kohel; sister, Cindy Kohel; and a brother-in-law Steve Helmke.
Visitation will be 5-7pm Saturday, May 15 at Newcomer Funeral Home. There will also be a private family memorial service held in Wisconsin.
