Michael Sellers passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 76 at his home in Lakewood, Colorado. His battle with medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Mike fought hard and stayed strong until the end.
Mike joined the US Navy in 1966. While stationed in the Philippines, he met his wife, Genoveva. Together they had three children: Maria, Charlie, and Theresa.
Watching movies, gambling and cheering on his favorite football team, the Denver Broncos, were among his favorite pastimes. But he loved spending time with his friends and family the most. Anyone having a conversation with him would quickly learn that his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on October 26, 2022, at 11:30am at Newcomer West Metro Chapel, followed by a committal service at Fort Logan National Cemetery. All family and friends are invited to a reception at the Filipino-American Community of Colorado directly following the committal service.
As a tribute to Mike's favorite football team, please wear your favorite Broncos attire. ????
