Mike Foster, 68, of Denver, passed away August 14, 2016.
He was born January 15, 1948 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Lt. Col. Jay and Carolyn (Wantz) Foster.
Mike graduated from Mannheim American High School in Mannheim, Germany in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1969, and served in combat in Vietnam as part of the 25th Infantry Division (1st Battalion, 8th Field Artillery) from 1970-1971.
He is survived by two daughters, Hannah V. Foster of Irvine, CA, and Metairie C. (Tod) Hecht of Plymouth, MN; son, Austin T. Foster of Golden, CO; brother, Bruce W. (Sara) Foster of Chicago, IL; sister, Karen (Ralph) Montgomery of Sugar Land, TX; grandson, Sebastian A. Hecht. He is preceded in death by father, Lt. Col. Jay W. Foster, mother, Carolyn O. Foster.
Formal services are to be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery's Shelter "C", September 23rd, 2016, at 2:15 PM (please be at Staging Area "C" at 2:00 PM sharp), celebration of life will take place before the formal services at Blondie's Firehouse Pub and Restaurant. A reservation under Mike Foster is available starting at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Army Emergency Relief.
