Mildred Theresa Bailey

Mildred Theresa (Florence) Bailey, age 89, departed this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
She was born in Newnan, GA to Arthur and Mary (Bledsoe) Florence on August 10, 1933. She is preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and sisters, her three children, Fayette (Florence) Wynn, Keith & Kelvin Bailey, and her husband of 64 years, Anthony T. Bailey, Dayton, OH

Those left to cherish her memories includes her children: Ray (Donna) Bailey, Theresa Ann Bailey and Lisa (Greg) Bailey-Wilson; her grandchildren, Kiff (Casey) Bailey, Dion (Dawn) Wynn, Trey Johnson, Sonda Wynn, Chyna (Darnell) Burkes, Amber and Amelia Bailey; her nieces, Rosalee Bradley and Annette Smith, her nephews, Dr. Robert Calhoun, Harold Florence and Doc Willis and her 9 great grandchildren, a host of relatives and many special friends.

If you asked her family who Mildred was, they'd all give you a different story. A mother. A wife. An Auntie. A cook. A teacher. A grandmother. A seamstress. A Chef. A Big Mama's Little Mama. A storyteller. A sister. A friend. A jokester. A true and through Bingo/Pokeno player. A respected elder. And too many – A MilMil.

Mildred was all those things at once. And above all, she was unconditional love for her family. She moved with kindness, grace and lots of humor. She will always be in our hearts. And her light will be deeply missed.
