Minnie May Byrd

Minnie May Byrd, 85, joined her Lord and Savior on June 2,2023.

She was born on September 25, 1937, in Denver, Colorado to Virgil and Violet Wyckoff.

She married Dennis Byrd on June 4, 1955. They had 4 children, Becky, Betty (Jarad), Earl (Sheri) and Bonnie (Brian).

She was blessed with 12 grandchildren. Matthew (Konnie), Rachel (Bill), Kayla (Mikey), Brent (Claire), Owen (Austin), Nicole (Adam), Brooke, Amanda, Ryleigh, Sydney, McKenna and Syd.

Minnie was also blessed with 13 great- grandchildren. Parker, Avery, William, Weston, Wyatt, Zoe, Jessica, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Alexsandra, Tyler, Jacob and Maverick.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Dennis, parents Virgil and Violet, and brother Jim.

Minnie was a godly daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (GG). Her love for the Lord showed in her service and servant heart. She was involved in her church, Red Rocks Baptist, where she loved her job as a greeter and faithfully volunteered for many ministries. She worked with the Set Free Prison Ministries for about 30 years. One of her many pleasures was playing games with her family and friends. She was always willing to go on family events and adventures. Her smile was contagious, heart pure, faith strong, there are not enough words to express how we all loved Minnie.

A visitation service will be held on Thursday, June 8,2023 from 4:00pm until 6:00 pm at Newcomers, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO.

Her memorial service will be 11:00am on Friday June 9,2023 at Red Rocks Baptist Church, 14711 W. Morrison Rd., Morrison CO.

Private Family Interment Service will be on Friday June 9,2023 at 2:00pm
