Muriel Wade Wideman

Born 09/16/1937 to Ollene Smith and Emmett Wade in Kansas City, KS. They moved to Denver, CO where mom attended school and graduated from Manual High in 1955. In the same year mom married Arnold Guy and gave birth to three beautiful daughters Desiree E. Guy, Janice Guy-Sayles and Janet (Ralph)Guy-Miller. She later gave birth to Anderia Hudson all of Denver, CO. Mom went to work for May D & F where she retired 30 yrs later. In 1967 mom met and married the late Wade Wideman whom she was married to in heart and soul until her death October 16, 2006. This union made two families one. Mom and Wade raised eight children. A job mom cherished very much. Family meant the world to her. Mom is also survived by her step-children Wade B. (Betsy), Sharon K. Wideman of Denver, Allen R. and Gary L. Wideman of Atlanta. Preceded in death by her youngest son Edwin L. Wideman and devote adopted daughter and friend Shirley Dawkins. Mom joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in 1987. A devout Christian and loving mother of nine children, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Today is a day full of sorrow, love, wisdom and understanding. Just a few of the attributes that made mom who she was. These things and more she willfully gave not only to her children but to all who crossed her path. Words alone can't express the families sorrow, but through the Grace of God mom will always be remembered joyously and always loved. Mom now has that perfect peace. Amen. P.S.
