Our Father Saw You

Our Father saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you
and whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
and saw you fade away.
Although we couldn't bear to lose you,
we could not ask you to stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard-working hands laid to rest.
Father broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
"The music is gone but the melody lingers on."

In Matthew 25:21 we read "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful• over a few things, I will make thee ruler• over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

As you will recall the context of this scripture, the Lord was talking about Talents given by our Father in Heaven. These Talents were given to us, his servants. And the Servants who magnified those Talents and carried them forward and shared them with others.

Jean had many Talents, especially Talents in teaching, providing compassionate service, organization and cooking. Jean indeed shared those Talents ……….

On behalf of Jean I want to thank each of you for coming here today, to Honor Jean, as her Family and friends through out her life. I know that each of you were touched in some way by her and the Talents she shared with you.

Just as we weep over our family members as they reach mile-stones in their lives, as they leave home to go to school or to start their work lives or grow up to form their own families, we here are sad as we reflect on Jean. As Jean is released from her mission, here on this Earth, that she has completed in Honor. As She lays down her Mortal Body here, so that she may return Home to Her Eternal Father. She has joined her Brothers, Carl and Joe, and her Mother, Irene , and all the rest of her family and friends that have preceded her, as they completed their missions here in this life, on this Earth. And they rejoice with her to be with them again.

As the Psalms say (Ps. 30:5) "weeping may endure for a Night, but joy cometh in the morning." And we shall all have joy again when we join Her with Our Eternal Father and all of our friends and relatives who are there to greet Her and us as She, and We come home. Jean will be there to greet us as we come home to our Eternal Father and Eternal Family.

In John 6:35 we read "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst•.

I testify to you here today that I know that Jesus Christ, Our Savior, "Lives" and that my Wife Myrna Jean Hall, "Lives". Joy will come in the morning as the Mortal Body, by the "example" of Jesus Christ, is resurrected and reunited with Her Living Sprit. I know this. May the Lord Jesus Christ comfort us, Jean's friends and family. As Christ said in the New Testament (Rev. 3:20) "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open• the door, I will come• in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Let us "Listen" for His knock. Let us open the door of our hearts that He, the Living Example of compassion may enter into our hearts and comfort us.

I testify to you that these things are true and as a Son of our Father in Heaven, I say these things in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Which Jean Hall do you know?
I guess it's whatever side she wants to show
How about the one that when you feel down
She can make you smile, by acting like a clown!!

Or the one that with just on glance
Lets you know of her profound intelligence
Where you can talk and discuss with much intellect
Where she is mulling and thinking, well that could be correct

Or the one that's deep in despair
That is thinking "doesn't anyone care?"
Come on guys, can't you see I'm down
When I need somebody, it seems I have to track you down!!

Or the one that's so paranoid
Thinks that she must be wearing a sign that says "avoid"
Because it just seems like the topic of conversation
Must be about Jean Hall and her last operation!!!

Or the one you'd really like to punch
When she calls you up and says, would you like to go to lunch?
That really blows your secrets and your diet
Because of the atmosphere and the food, you can't keep quiet!

How about the one who reads and studies
The one who likes to lay around in her crudies
This is the one that no one else will see
Except her cows and her dogs and maybe her family!!

Or the one that is so mysterious
That shows no emotion or wants to get serious!!
This is the one she'll only show in part
The one that might reveal that she has a soft heart!!

Which Jean Hall are we talking about?
I guess it's whichever one she'll let come out,
Somehow you've got to pass the test and pay your dues,
Before Jean Hall will think, it really is true
That there is a friendship where you can reveal your personalities
And someone will still love and care and see your good qualities!!

I guess we're really all alike cause there's a part of me
That only Jean Hall will know or ever see
Once I was lucky and past the test
I'll tell you a secret, it's that serous side I like the best!!

That's the side where your mind can stretch and grow
If only she wouldn't be so afraid to let it show!!

Knowing Jean I'll have to put it in writing
Because of all the bickering and arguing, and fighting
That our friendship was special and true
It can be summed up by saying "I love you"

When we came down from the premortal life
That veil was in place that covered my mind
But I'm sure that there was a part of me, that is if I recall?
A part that was marked and stamped
"This friendship belongs to Jean Hall!!!!"
