Nathan Owusu Boateng
August 30, 2006 our beloved Nathan Owusu Boateng and Natalie Owusuaa Boateng were given to Eric and Comfort Boateng. Even though he was born tow months premature, Nathan was two pounds of pure joy. Due to sicknesses, the first three months of his life was spent in the hospital. Two months in University and a month in Children's. While he was at the hospital, he was cut seven times to remove different types of hernia. Two weeks after his surgery, Nathan came home for the first time since his birth. While Nate was home, he always put a smile on everyone's face with his vibrant smile and his goofy attitude. A few days later, he was taken back to the hospital where he spent two more months of his life.
April 2, 2007 was the first time Nathan ate through his mouth. Prior to that, he was fed through a feeding tube placed in his stomach a few days after birth. Unfortunately, that didn't last because he returned to the hospital within a few days. This time he was put on oxygen to help him breathe. Between then and the day of his death, Nate spent the rest of his life in and out of hospitals. Different diagnoses, with different solutions, were given every week.
December 11, 2007 our dear Nathan Owusu Boateng was taken from his parents, his sisters, and all who loved him. Even though his death was unexpected, we know there's a purpose to his life and his death. Every day, we see a little of Nathan in his twin sister, Natalie, and his older sisters, Melissa and Bethel. Although Nathan is no longer with us, his memory will live on in our hearts forever and ever.
