Nelda Anne Toler, 80, of Littleton, CO, passed away peacefully December 29th with her family by her side. She was born to the late Boyd and Cecil Kelsay, December 12, 1941, in Ten Mile, TN. Nelda grew up in Kingston, TN graduating from Roane County High School in 1959 and Knoxville Business College in 1960. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Rantoul, IL with her older sister Joy and her husband, and started working at Kraft-Humko where she met the love of her life, Donald R. Toler. They married on December 9, 1961, and built a beautiful life together in Urbana, IL. Nelda worked in finance most of her career with Beneficial Finance, 30 + years. Then, Riley Homes in Urbana. She had many lifelong friends that were like family and loved and enjoyed them all very much.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards, gambling, and especially fun times with family, friends, and her Ya-Ya Sisters. She and Don enjoyed a great life together until his passing in 1997. She moved to Colorado in 2016 where she lived with her daughter, Dona, until her passing. Her grandchildren and great-grand children were the joys of her life.
Nelda is survived by Daughter, Dona Dingee; Eight grandchildren, Paige N. Dingee, Mark A. Dingee, Kelsey D. Dingee, Amber L. Mank, Brittney Mank, Cirsten Mank, Heather Ladeira, and Megan McDonald; six great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Donald R. Toler, Daughter, Nichole P. Mank, and sisters Joy Pischke and Gayle Fish.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Legion Post 71, 107 N. Broadway, Urbana, Il 61801.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, April 9, 2022, at Woodlawn Cemetery with a Celebration of life for her and her daughter Nichole Mank, at Noon, at the American Legion Post 71, 107 N. Broadway, Urbana, IL
