Nick Dan Apodaca passed away at his home on February 19, 2019 of unknown causes. Nick was born in April of 1969 in Denver Colorado. As a youth, Nick excelled at youth soccer and played for many high level competitive teams for Northglenn Thunder.
Nick graduated from Lincoln High School in 1987. After High School, he joined the Denver Police Department as a Reserve Officer.
Nick enjoyed the sport of soccer and in his time became a referee and soccer coach. Nick put everything he had into the sport and through his hard work became a National Referee. Nick also handed down his knowledge to many young officials and players throughout the state.
Nick is preceded in death by his father Nicolas Apodaca in March of 2003 and his mother Henrietta Apodaca in February of 2018.
Nick is survived by his son Anthony, his brother Leonard (Sherri), his nephew Aiden, Cameron and Taylor Ferro and his niece Samantha Miller.
Many will miss him.
A memorial in celebration of Nick's life will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 3801 West Ohio, Denver Colorado 80219 on Tuesday March 19, 2019 at 11:00AM. Reception will follow.
