Norma was proceeded in death by her grandparents and parents, Rhoda and Harry Bobst, and her beloved fur baby, Lexci. Lexci was her Chihuahua of many years.
Norma was raised by her grandparents in Kansas City, MO where her grandfather headed the Post Office for many years. She moved to Denver as an adult. Her career was with AT&T as an Operator and Engineer, retiring after over 30 years of service.
She enjoyed sports, particularly football. Proud of her Midwestern roots, she remained a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs much to her amusement of her many Denver friends. She was bit of a "pool shark" and remained an avid gambler well into her senior years as she continued to win bets on numerous occasions.
Norma lived near Sloan's Lake for many years before moving to Cherry Creek Retirement Village in 2023. Active, curious, and armed with a dry wit, Norma was seldom known to hold back on her opinions. Yet, she had a remarkable ability to engage with people of all ages and make friends wherever she lived. She will be missed!
Norma's services will be on April 27th. The viewing will be at the Newcomer East Chapel from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, located at 190 Potomac St. Aurora, CO. A graveside service will begin at 1:00 PM, Fairmont Mortuary, Staging Area B, 480 S. Quebec St. Denver, CO.
A reception for Norma will be held at Cherry Creek Retirement Village, 2:30PM-4:00PM. Cherry Creek Retirement Village is located at 14555 E. Hampden Ave. Aurora, CO.
