Norma Ann McMahon was born in Hollywood California on December 27, 1931 to parents Elizabeth Ann [Schultz (Szucs)] Santer and William Eugene Santer.
Norma grew up initially in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles. Her family including her only sibling William Earl Santer (1934 – 2001) moved to Colorado to be close to other relatives. She lived and attended school in Denver, graduating from North High School in 1949. From there she worked at the main Montgomery Ward store on South Broadway in Denver where she met her late husband Robert Allen McMahon (1931- 1984). Robert (Bob) was a resident of Englewood Colorado and a veteran of the US. Air Force serving in the Korean War. Bob was employed until his retirement at the Western Electric Company in Denver. They married on October 13, 1957 in Englewood, CO.
Norma and Bob had two children; daughter Nancy Ann McMahon (1958- ) and son, Todd Christopher McMahon (1966 - ). Norma was active in the Gamma Lota Chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) sorority organization serving as President from 1962- 1963. In addition, she was active in parent teacher organizations for her two children, provided in-person childcare and worked successfully as a licensed Real Estate Agent for a large Denver firm and a few small brokerages.
Among Norma's many interests, she enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies, learning about Colorado history, bowling, collecting antiques, nature walks, animals of all kinds, reading romance novels, crossword/word search puzzles, drawing, water painting, pottery, photography and loved visiting her daughter in Hawai'i when she was able.
After her husband's death, Norma continued to be very active socially with all of her acquaintances including her bowling league and attending North High School reunions and became an active Suite's resident of Clermont Park Senior Living Center in Denver, serving as President of the Resident's Council until her passing marked by her 63rd wedding anniversary.
Norma is survived by her two children Todd and Nancy, grandson Jeremy Bryan Raskin, daughter-in-law Heidi Elizabeth McMahon, grandson Andrew Robert McMahon, granddaughters Maile Elizabeth McMahon and Keira Rose McMahon as well as a great grandson Colt Raskin.
