Norman Alan Tashiro, a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Norman was born on September 17, 1948, in Brighton, Colorado. Born to a farming family where he had two brothers Harvey (Laurie) and Edward (Passed) and two sisters Lorri (Roy) and Naomi. Norman dedicated his life to those he cherished, and his legacy will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
After serving honorably in the United States Army, Norman began a long career with the State of Colorado, where he exemplified the virtues of hard work and dedication. Norman was a man of his word, known for his integrity, selflessness, and generosity.
Family was at the very core of Norman's being. He was a true family man, pouring his love into every meal he prepared, especially during the holidays when he could surround himself with those he treasured most. Norman loved to cook, and he took great joy in teaching his grandkids the art and joy of cooking, passing on not just recipes, but cherished memories and life lessons.
In addition to his culinary passions, Norman enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He found pleasure in golfing, bowling, and ballroom dancing, and relished the evenings spent playing cards and games with his family and friends. His love for life and laughter created countless joyful experiences for all who had the privilege of sharing time with him.
Norman is survived by his Mother Fujiyo (105), His loving wife, Janet, his beloved daughters, Susie (Duane) and Tracy (Charlie), four adored grandchildren, and one precious great-granddaughter. Together, they carry forward the values and love that Norman instilled in every aspect of their lives.
As we mourn the loss of Norman Alan Tashiro, we celebrate the profound impact he made on those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will forever inspire love, integrity, and generosity in our hearts.
