Oland was the 3rd of 5 children born to Margaret Cummings Arnold and Noble Arnold in St. Louis, MO.
He attended high school and graduated in Mount Clemmons, MI. In 1953 after graduation Oland enlisted in the United States Air Force. In 1957, Oland returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Irene Stepney. To this union one child was welcomed on November 14, 1958, Antoine Vincent Arnold.
Oland was an excellent provider for his family. Always generous and giving to other family members. His home was always open to family and friends offering them a fresh start.
Oland always tried to be a positive role model to his son and grandson. He tried to instill morals, values and ethics.
Oland's military career allowed he and his family to travel and see the world.
Irene and Oland decided that the Mile High City was a great place to raise their son and planted roots in Denver.
Oland prided himself on being a dapper dresser and a gentleman. He was well loved and carried himself with dignity and elegence.
After twenty one years of military service, he went on to pursue his Associates Degree in Linguistics. Upon obtaining his degree he became a Certified American Sign Language Translator.
Oland continued to work for the United States government employed at the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center in the Administration division. He retired with fifteen years of civilian service with a total of thirty five years of federal service.
He was a free spirit enjoying high diving, swimming, skiing, and bodybuilding. He never met a stranger even when gaming in Vegas. He loved BBQ, bowling, dancing, and music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings, and wife. He is survived by his only child, Antoine (Ingrid) Arnold; grandson, Brandon J. Arnold; sister, Veloise (Jim) Moore; brother, Maurice (Elizabeth) Arnold; and a host of friends and relative.
