Pamela Denise Thomas, lovingly known as "BIRDIE" to family and friends, was born on Tuesday, January 14, 1969, in the vibrant city and state of Jackson, Mississippi. "BIRDIE" is the fifth of seven children to her wonderful parents, Bertha and Robert Thomas, Sr. Pam's life was one filled with love and laughter. On Friday, July 19, 2024, she peacefully slipped from this world in Aurora, Colorado, transitioning into eternal rest at the young age of 55. Her love and laughter will forever be missed here with us.
"BIRDIE" was cherished deeply by her devoted partner, Leonard "LJ" Jones. Together, they created a beautiful life woven with love and joy.
Pamela's legacy will forever resonate through her five beloved children: Brian Whitehorn, Jimale Thomas who is at rest, Diamine Thomas, Daisha Thomas, and Daishawn Thomas. She is lovingly remembered and will always be in the hearts of her siblings—Sandra Fay Minter, Larry Thomas, Barbara Thomas (Deceased), Robert Thomas, Jr., Pedro Thomas, Sr., and Allen Tyler, Jr.—as well as her sister-in-laws, Joetta Thomas, and Kalika Thomas. Her vibrant spirit also lives on in her thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends who were touched by her kindness.
Those who knew "BIRDIE" remember her infectious joy for life, especially her love for singing and dancing. From a tender age of three, she graced a parade in New York with her dazzling dance moves that that captivated everyone that saw her. Her spirit lit up everywhere she went.
While the world has lost a bright light in Pamela "BIRDIE" Denise Thomas, her warmth, laughter, and the joy she shared will be profoundly missed by all. However, we find comfort in the promise of the resurrection, knowing that one day, Pamela will be reunited with her family and friends to celebrate eternally, free from pain and sorrow.
