Pamela Lee Read (Baird), 75, of Aurora, passed away August 8, 2018.
She was born May 7, 1943 in Hayden, Colorado, the daughter of Gerald and Phyllis (Lyons) Baird. She was a graduate of Hayden High School. On May 29, 1976 she married Richard Read in Aurora, Colorado.
Pam's pre-teen years were spent with her mother and circumstances required that she lived in many, many places. She never had the stability of a true home. In today's world, couples celebrating 42 years of marriage is becoming some what rare, but couples living in the same home for 41 years is definitely rare. Her home has never been a "House". It has always been her "Home". Our walls are covered with items she held dear, she decorated our home for every season and every holiday. She has always had a green thumb, and flowers were always a large part of "decorating" her home.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Robert S. (Cindy) Barry; brother, Gary (Cheryl) Baird; two granddaughters, Sara N. Barry and Jessica L. Barry; and two grandsons, Justin D. (Ryley) Barry and Mason R. Owens. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Baird; mother, Phyllis O'Brien; and daughter, Jill Suzanne Owens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
