Patricia Absmeier Main died after a brief illness at University Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, Monday, November 13, at 11:40 AM. Several members of her family were at her bedside at the time of death.
She is survived by her husband Warren Main of Aurora, Colorado, sons Dan Main and his wife April of Denver, Steve Main and his wife Melisa of Aurora,, her brother Jeff Absmeier and his wife Debbie of Firestone, Colorado, her brother Dave Absmeier and his wife Cindy of Greeley, as well as sister-in-law Lisa Absmeier-Herman and her husband Paul of Salmon, Idaho. She is also survived by three granddaughters, one grandson and over 100 nephews and nieces.
She was born Sept. 8, 1947, to Patricia and Carl Absmeier in Boulder, Colorado. Pat grew up in Holyoke, Colorado, along with her 4 brothers and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1965. She went on to nursing school at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver and she and Warren were married at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Holyoke in 1970.
Due to Warren being in the Marine Corps, they moved quite often for the following 4 years but Pat continued her nursing career during this time in several different states and hospitals but later decided staying at home was her top priority, and became a homemaker raising her two sons.
Pat was a loving and caring wife and mother. She will be missed greatly by everyone who has ever known her.
