Patricio Lobato

August 22, 1923 — December 12, 2017

Patricio David Lobato
Born August 22, 1923
Died December 12, 2017

Pat lived a long, hard, and happy life. Born and raised in Blanco, New Mexico, he lost his mother when he was 9 years old. He learned to be self-sufficient alongside his younger brother, Alex.

He joined the Civilian Conservation Camp as a teenager, and later joined the Armed Forces at the start of WW2. There he served as a cook, but learned electronics and moved into the Air Force when it became a separate branch of the military in 1947. Pat retired from the Air Force after 20+ years and many travels in Europe and Formosa, to focus on a growing family.

He married Marvine Gallegos in November 1954. Marvine and Pat lived in Glendale, AZ and then moved to Denver, CO where he finished his military days as a radar technology program instructor at Lowry Air Force Base.

Pat and Marvine raised 8 children; David 62, Laura 61, Anthony 59, Julian 56, Daniel 55, Patricia 48, Marc 46, and Andrea 38. They are the proud grandparents of 11 grandchildren with one more on the way. They have 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Additionally, Pat is survived by his brother Alex 91 of Jacksonville, FL, Alex's 4 children.

Pat was devoted to the Catholic Church, and loved fishing. He was always happiest with a worm on a hook and catching trout. After retirement Pat volunteered extensively in his community, and never denied help and assistance to anyone who approached him, strangers or no. Pat had one of the most generous hearts many of us knew, and was always a "give the shirt off his back" type of man.
