The US Air Force Veteran and Retired VA Administrator, Patrick "Charlie" Brown passed away December 2, 2021 after a valiant battle with Stage 4 lung cancer.
Charlie was born on September 1, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio. After graduating high school, he joined the Air Force and served 13 months in Vietnam. After Vietnam he was stationed in many countries including Korea, England and Japan. While serving in Oklahoma City , Oklahoma he met his deceased wife Wendy Brown. They enjoyed 39 years together before Wendy lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in 2018.
Charlie and Wendy had two children David Brown and Kathleen Abramson. Charlie was also a dedicated step-parent to 4 step children; Debra Smith, Bobby Rich, Carol Webster and Jennifer Rich-Hesseltine. He was the grandfather of four; Kennedy Brown, Wendy Smith and Ryan and Rory Vaughn.
Charlie requested to be cremated and his ashes will be put with Wendy's at Fort Logan National Cemetery with full military honors. The date is TBD at this time.
