Paul E. Mingo

July 16, 1972 — May 16, 2021

Paul E. Mingo was born July 16, 1972 in Gary, Indiana to Richard Lee Taylor Sr. and Mary Lee Mingo-Boyd. Paul received his formal education through the Gary, Indiana Public School System. He received his high school diploma from Roosevelt High School in Gary, Indiana.

Paul was affectionately called (Nude) by his siblings, and later in life to some of his friends he was known as bear. They nicknamed him nude because in the 70s as a little boy he liked to streak. Almost every day he would take his clothes off and take off running. His mom would be chasing him down the street yelling "come here boy, come here".

Paul was employed at RPM Parking and Jay's Valet where he was a traffic controller for many years. Paul enjoyed karaoke, dancing and he LOVED to draw. Paul enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Paul was extremely outgoing and charismatic. He not only loved to tell jokes, but he would take you on an adventure through the joke and by the time he was done you would be on the floor in tears laughing. If he knew the camera was on him you could always count on him to put on a show. He also had a love for football. He was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan.

In 1993, Paul moved to Colorado to be closer to his sister, this is also where he met Carla Anderson who later became his wife on February 9, 1994. They welcomed one son Ishmael (Myael) to their union, and they later separated January 7, 2018.

Paul Mingo was genuinely loved by his family and friends. He was born on July 16, 1972 and departed this life on May 16, 2021.

He was proceeded in death by his loving father, Richard Lee Taylor Sr.; mother, Mary Lee Mingo-Boyd; beloved sister Reva Taylor-Hereford (Kary Hereford); and brother, Anthony V. Taylor; niece, Desja Manuel.

He leaves to cherish his memory his companion Shantell N. Scott; only child, Ishmael (Myael) Mingo-Morris, two sisters Charise Manuel (Edgar Manuel), Angel Taylor; five brothers, Richard Taylor, Demetrius Taylor, Demont Taylor, Evon Mingo and Lucky Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
