Paul Douglas Estlund
Paul passed away on March 19, 2021. He was 72 years old.
Paul grew up on a farm in Iowa with his parents, Floyd and Gladys Estlund and 5 brothers and 1 sister. Paul was married to Jacqueline for over 34 years and has 1 son, Brian.
Paul would not want all the Airedale Terriers he has helped foster and adopt over many years to be forgotten, including his current friend, Piper.
Paul served in the US Air Force in both Belgium and Colorado Springs. After leaving the Air Force Paul graduated from Colorado College, he went to work in the Animal Pharmaceutical Industry as a sales representative. He later started his own company selling home care medical equipment.
Paul was an avid sports fan and loved all sports, but baseball was his favorite. The NY Yankees was his number one team, but the Colorado Rockies was a close second. Paul had season tickets to the Rockies for many years. Paul and his wife Jacqueline traveled to see many baseball games in different stadiums across the country.
Paul worked hard, had lots of fun and made a lot of people laugh.
I know Paul will be in Heaven looking to join a baseball team and hoping he gets to play with Mickey Mantle, his all-time favorite player.
In honor of Paul's love of life and laughter there will not be a traditional service. There will be a Celebration of Life event at a future date…. Details to follow.
Paul will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:00pm. Please arrive to Staging Area A at Ft. Logan by 1:50pm.
