Paul Bentley Hickerson

Paul passed at home on April 11, 2023, with family. After a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis, he is at peace.
Born August 11, 1949, in Hannibal, Missouri to Charlotte and James Hickerson (deceased). He is survived by sisters Cheri Garton (Jim), Debbi Fant (Michael) and brothers James and David (Lori) Hickerson.
Paul graduated from South High School and enlisted in the US Navy in 1969. After his discharge in 1973 he began his 30-year career with the City and County of Denver, retiring in 2003.
Paul was an avid fan and participant of all sports with baseball at the top of his list. Paul was a kind and gentle soul never judging, helping those in need. He was generous and chose his words carefully. He is loved and will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Denver Hospice.
Paul will be buried at 2:15pm, Wednesday May 10, 2023, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Please meet at Staging Area C by 2:00 pm.
