Paul Ben Martinez

Hipolito Martinez aka Paul passed away on July 1st, 2021 at the age of 64. Survived by his wife Shirley with 44 years of marriage.
Paul has two children: Angelic, Hipolito Martinez Jr (Hep) and his wife (Antoinette), three grandchildren Serenity, Hipolito III, Jordon, and his latest joy great granddaughter Athena Martinez. His sister Gloria Najera, and brothers Tom and Ray. Preceded in death by his parents Robert, Dolores (Gonzales) Martinez and brother Albert Martinez.
Paul knew everything about vehicles from making them run good to making them look good having a high degree in automotive study. If the car didn't run he was an expert at towing them as well. You can catch him in his garage always working on something. He was very friendly and would talk to anyone. He really enjoyed company if you were one of the lucky ones, he would invite you over for beans and chili. He also enjoyed long phone calls with his loved ones. He had a great sense of humor always keeping you entertained with witty jokes and quick comebacks.
Paul's battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage and he would always say GOD will take care of it.
Paul's services will be at Newcomers (901 S. Sheridan) for viewing on July 8th from 5-8pm. Memorial service is on July 9th at 11am at the First Baptist Church of Englewood (3190 S. Broadway) followed by a burial at Crown Hill.
