Paul Michael Mulqueen "Mike", age 84, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on February 2, 2023, with his family by his side.
Born in Denver, Colorado on April 11, 1938, Mike was the youngest of ten children. He graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School and attended Regis College before joining the Colorado Air National Guard.
Mike is a Colorado native who worked for his brothers at Mountain States Pets Supply before joining the Denver Marshals Office in 1970. Mike retired from the Marshals Office in 2000 after 30 years of service. During that same time, he worked for Sears Roebuck in security and loss prevention where he made lifelong friends. While working two jobs, he still found the time to attend his kids and grandkids sporting events, much to the dismay of the referees.
In his retirement he enjoyed organizing family events with his siblings, including the longtime "family lunch". His true joy was helping chauffeur his grandkids to all their various activities. Priceless memories from many generational family vacations will be cherished forever. He is known by family friends and neighborhood kids as "Marshal Mike".
Mike is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue. Together they have three children: Bret (Cathy) Mulqueen, Lisa Armstrong, Jeff (Heidi) Mulqueen; along with six grandchildren: Maddison, Alea, Tanner, Blake, Paige, and Kathryn; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Chuck and sister Lorraine.
Mike is proceeded in death by his parents: George and Anna Mulqueen; and his siblings: Tom, Shirley, Mary Ellen, George, Jim, Don, and Pat.
Mike loved all his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
