Paul P. Peterson

Paul Patrick Peterson, 69, of Denver, passed away April 17, 2024

Paul was born August 7, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, to his parents Mary and Paul. Later his little brother Dan was born.

Paul attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic grade school through grade 8 then graduated from Mullen High school where the Christian Brothers were tough. He went to Colorado State University for one year then completed his degree in Human Resources at Colorado Christian College.

Paul was a master plumber and worked alongside his father at the family plumbing business, Paul Peterson Plumbing, until the passing of his father in January 2013. Paul then operated the business until he retired in May of 2023. He so graciously served his customers and was always a perfectionist at his craft. So many people confided in Paul and trusted his expertise.

Paul and his parents purchased their long sought after dream, the cabin, at Green Mountain reservoir in 1980. This was their getaway that the entire family enjoyed, and nephew Matthew would grow up with. So much of Paul’s time in the summer was devoted to the cabin and entertaining friends and family with water skiing, fishing, hot dogs, burgers and socializing with the neighbors. Paul’s favorite activity was pulling people behind the boat on the round donut and whipping them in circles. Matthew survived.

Paul’s love of the Lord always showed through by sharing the Word of God through his Bible Study groups and fellowship. He was so generous to those in need, including the least. Most of all he loved his family. His home was filled with family pictures, thank you notes and cards from every family occasion, which were so dear to him.

Paul is survived by his little brother Dan (Evon) Peterson; nephew Matthew (Lena) Peterson; and his great nephew Finley and great niece McKenzie Peterson.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Mary and father, Paul.

Thursday, May 9, 2024, 2:00PM Graveside interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Please meet inside the WEST GATE by 1:45 pm.

Friday, May 10, 2024, 10:00am Memorial Service at Mile High Calvary Church, 181 W. County Line Rd., Highlands Ranch, CO 80129.

Reception will follow the Memorial at Mile High Calvary.
