85, of Wheat Ridge, CO, passed away September 16, 2010. He was born December 1, 1924 in Denver, CO, the son of Jack and Elsie Schipper. His father owned Schipper's Poultry Farm where he grew up. He graduated from West High School before entering the Navy as a teenager. He served honorable during WWII as a Motor Machinist's Mate on a sub chaser. He married Mabel Gibson on October 27, 1945 at Beth Eden Baptist Church. They had 3 children from their union. The family enjoyed annual vacations to Glenwood Springs, CO. He enjoyed attending his grandkids soccer games, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and Beth Eden Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Mabel Schipper of Wheat Ridge, CO; 2 sons: Dennis (Kathy) Schipper of Lakewood, CO & Steve (Becky) Schipper of Havelock, NC: daughter: Pamela Rozmiarek of Centennial, CO: 4 grandchildren: Joel Schipper of Longmont, CO, Karen Parker of Littleton, CO, Jonathan Schipper of Havelock, NC, and Benjamin Schipper of Havelock, NC. 1 great granddaughter: Maggie Schipper of Longmont, CO; brother: Jack Schipper of Sequim, WA. Burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery Area "A" Tuesday 9/21 at 12 PM. Memorial Service Tuesday 9/21 at 2:30 PM at Beth Eden Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Collier Hospice, 3210 Lutheran Pkwy, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 or Beth Eden Baptist Church, 2600 Wadsworth Blvd, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
